It was established in the year 2003. The college is a beautiful picture-perfect destination. Moodbidri is on the NH-13 road, 35 km away from the coastal town of Mangalore. The college provides excellent teaching and it is on the front line in having academic excellence. The college has good infrastructure and other facilities. There are experienced and they are highly qualified full-time staff for teaching the students. There are part-time instructors from other Medical Colleges and guest lecturers who are highly placed professionals as well. There are audio-visual training aids available to supplement classroom sessions.

The main motto of the institution is to teach in an integrated manner so that the students get a better perception of health, diseases and their effective treatment. - Mass Sun Bath: The Mass Sun Bath is conducted with a motto of ‘Getting rid of Vitamin D deficiency which is done for 20 minutes.
- Nutritious Salad Distribution: This is given to the public. The Nutritious salad consists of different Fruits and Vegetables which are rich in Antioxidants.
- Mass Human Chain Formation: This is conducted with a motto of ‘Protecting Nature for a better future. It covers a distance of 1.2 km in and around Shobavana, the Herbal Garden.
- Walk towards Nature: This Walk towards nature is with a motto of ‘Return to Nature’ for health rejuvenation.
LOCATION
Alvas College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences is located in the South Western part of Karnataka with its Headquarters in Mangalore. Moodbidri is on NH-13 about 35 km away from Mangalore by Road and the nearest Airport and Railway Station are in Mangalore. It is the ‘Eastern bamboo area’ and is situated amidst beautiful hills and is known as the ‘Jain Kashi’ of South India.
